This vintage Fisher-Price doll is Mandy, she’s one of the My Friend dolls. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a sweet smile.

Mandy’s head is made of hard plastic and she has brushable rooted hair with lots of volume and loose curls. Her body is soft and has a pink rosebud pattern. Her arms and legs are made of hard plastic. Her arms are floppy and her legs bend so she can sit.

Her face and body show some dirt and wear and some of the blush is scratched on her left cheek, as shown in the photos. The fingers on her hand have been cut off, as shown in the last photo. Some of the hair plugs in back seem to be missing some hair or are empty altogether, but for the most part this is covered by the rest of her hair.

She’s missing her original outfit, but there were lots of sewing patterns available for the My Friend dolls.

The back of her neck is marked “1976 Fisher-Price” and the tag on her back is numbered 210. This number and the pink rosebuds on her cloth body indicate that she was the first doll issued in this line. While My Friend Mandy continued to be produced in later years, those versions had a different number and her cloth body had yellow rosebuds instead of pink.
