This vintage Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is Abearnathy Bearinger, he’s #3 in The Bearingers of Victoria Circle series from 1993. He’s a charming, tan-colored bear wearing a sailor suit and cap and is kneeling next to a toy boat.
There were four ornaments in The Bearingers of Victoria Circle series – Papa Bearinger, Mama Bearinger, and their two children, son Abearnathy Bearinger and daughter Bearnadette Bearinger. There was a lighted tabletop display shaped like a fireplace with raised pegs on it and each ornament had an indented shape on the bottom so it could fit on the pegs.
Abearnathy Bearinger has a rectangular indentation on the bottom, as shown in the last photo. He also has a hook on top of his head so he can hang on the tree instead.
The bottom of the ornament is marked “1993 Hmk Cds.” It has been displayed, so it has some minor scuffs and paint rubs.
